Through the simulations, the deformation process can be observed in detail. It can be observed that,
- Snap-through events of unit cells happens in a discrete manner
- The sudden relase of deformation energy after snap-through generate elastic waves
- The order of unit cells undergoing snap-through is random.
Combining with the theoretical model, MD simualtions unveil the mechanisms generating pseudo plasticity and hystersis of the nanolattices with large numbers of unit cells.
